A comprehensive treatment programme incorporates a number of therapies and holistic approaches to address all aspects of the client's addiction.

The initial stage of treatment at the Bayberry Clinic will involve an assessment and provisions for a fully medicated detox if required.  The assessment will focus on individual needs, taking into account physical, psychiatric, psychological, social and spiritual well being. This will help to create a treatment programme most likely to bring about success and provide the most appropriate levels of care to the client throughout their treatment programme.

Group therapy is the basis of the treatment programme and delivers a number of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Group Therapy, psycho-education and 12-Step treatment. Group workshops will also focus on relapse prevention and life skills training. Individual sessions also offer psychotherapy to all clients.

Holistic therapies and activities outside of the psychological programme also include meditation and mindfulness training, yoga and fitness,  art therapy, acupuncture, Spiritual and cultural support and equine therapy where required. They aim to provide a broad range of activities to suit all clients, and help with relaxation throughout the treatment programme.

 The Bayberry Clinic also offer family programme with workshops and a family counsellor to help those around the person with an addiction understand and support them further with their recovery.

Treatment at the Bayberry clinic is delivered and supervised by a highly experienced team of counsellors and Consultant Addiction Psychiatrists, and a Specialist Addiction GP is on call where required. Clients are supervised at all times, and experienced support workers provide care and reassurance to clients overnight.
