The Clifton Clinic
The Clifton Clinic offers a UK-based inpatient recovery programme aimed at treating alcohol and drug addictions. The underlying causes of the addiction are looked at closely at the Clifton Clinic with the intention of addressing these causes.
Whilst in treatment at The Clifton Clinic, clients are accommodated in self-contained apartments so they have their own privacy. Whilst lunch is prepared daily, the client would be responsible for their own breakfast and dinner. The Clifton Clinic takes this approach in order to promote self-sufficiency.
Types of Treatment Services The Clifton Clinic offers
Alcohol treatment:
With the help of alcohol counselling, the Clifton Clinic can help the client begin to see how their drinking changed and became destructive and how they have used alcohol as a crutch. Alcohol counselling will help a client get back on track and begin to live life again free from dependency to any substances.
Drug treatment:
Nearly all of the drug counsellors at The Clifton Clinic have their own personal experiences of addiction so they will know first-hand what a client is going through and how to help them. Drug addiction is often accompanied by feelings of shame, self-loathing and fear. In a drug counselling session these can be addressed and the client can begin to understand they are not a “bad” person, but an “ill” one.
The Clifton Clinic believes that the body is just as important as the mind, and so offer a health and wellbeing programme to run alongside the therapeutic programme.
How long could treatment for drug and alcohol addiction at the clifton clinic take?
The Clifton Clinic programme is based on detailed research of highly successful clinics both in the UK and USA and runs 7 days a week. Standard programme length would be 28 days.
