Treating more than symptoms of the disease

When individuals are encouraged to seek detox or rehab services for a drug addiction, one of the most crucial aspects is to get support from the most appropriate people.  Research has shown that in most instances it is often in the best interest of clients to receive collaborative care from numerous sources, including physicians and nurses (Science Daily, 2011).
