Why a Rehab Centre? A residential detox centre will provide a safe environment to detox from drugs and alcohol. Once an individual is physically addicted to drugs and/or alcohol the detoxification process requires medical supervision. Following detox, the individual can then enter a programme of rehabilitation with various aftercare options available, all of which improve the individuals chances of long-term success.
Founded in 1990, this Nottingham clinic is a 16-bedded unit providing residential and day-care services to help individuals and their families recover from the physical and emotional effects of alcohol and drug issues and offers patients hope, healing and sanctuary. It has a wide range of outpatient treatment programmes, accepting self-funded patients and patients who are covered by private medical insurance.
Situated in a tranquil, rural location in Bedfordshire, this treatment centre is an ideal centre for recovery. Accommodation is to a high standard – every client has their own bedroom. The clinic also has membership of a private health club offering spa and swimming facilities and a gymnasium. However, none of these will get an addict well! It is the experienced counselling team who make the difference – with over 50 years of recovery and over 30 years of counselling experience between them, they can offer the best opportunity for recovery available. The clinic's consultant doctor is a specialist in detox and a qualified psychiatrist.
Every client receives an assessment and takes part in group therapy. One to one counselling is also available. Clients also get help in developing life skills, where appropriate and free aftercare is provided for a day a week for a year after completing the programme.
The purpose of the Bayberry Clinic is to help Professionals struggling with alcohol/drug dependency and co-occurring mental health difficulties regain their lives (personal and occupational).
We are a modified, democratic therapeutic community that offers a specialist and confidential treatment service where addicted professionals can recover in a healing and safe environment.
A resident's length of stay will be determined by the treatment requirements and progress throughout treatment. We offer a primary care 6-week programme followed by up to a further 6-8 weeks of extended care if necessary. The programme includes five years aftercare and a family programme.
Being in a dedictated programme treated with peers that offer both primary and secondary care is a new approach in the UK whereas in North America it is considered the norm for dedicated Professionals Programmes. These programmes have shown 78-90% recovery rates compared to 30-52% recovery rates for short-term non-dedicated services in the UK.
NA meetings are held all across the UK and provide a network of support or a form of self-help for drug addicts. NA meetings are based upon the foundations of the AA movement; they are spiritual, not religious, there is no requirement to talk at a meeting and anonymity is protected rigorously. Drop out rates are high, but for those that remain abstinence rates are excellent.
