Why a Rehab Centre? A residential detox centre will provide a safe environment to detox from drugs and alcohol. Once an individual is physically addicted to drugs and/or alcohol the detoxification process requires medical supervision. Following detox, the individual can then enter a programme of rehabilitation with various aftercare options available, all of which improve the individuals chances of long-term success.
Founded in 1990, this Nottingham clinic is a 16-bedded unit providing residential and day-care services to help individuals and their families recover from the physical and emotional effects of alcohol and drug issues and offers patients hope, healing and sanctuary. It has a wide range of outpatient treatment programmes, accepting self-funded patients and patients who are covered by private medical insurance.
We aim to provide our clients with a safe and discreet alcohol free environment based primarily on respect as we believe this will create the best conditions to support change and growth.
Our treatment programme provides supervised detox, key working and group work with qualified therapists to enable clients to develop the skills and motivation needed for overcoming their addiction.
At the treatment centre our clients are able to firstly break free from their addiction and then begin to make the changes necessary to maintain an alcohol free life.
We believe that going into treatment is one of the toughest decisions anyone ever has to make but at the treatment centre the message is clear; treatment works, abstinence is achievable and recovery is happening in our communities all the time.
This rehab clinic is located approximately one hour from Ipswich and 30 minutes from Norwich. There is also a direct train from London Liverpool Street. The clinic provides detoxification along with primary treatment programmes in a supportive, caring environment. Groups are held in our state-of-the art treatment facility and the residential accommodation is at the newly renovated ‘Albany’ which is just a two minute walk from the Award winning beach.
The Albany is fully staffed, providing 24 hour cover for everyone that chooses to stay with us. Using the 12 step recovery programme combined with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), the clinic can offer a number of programmes of differing duration that enable our clients to receive treatment for addictions including drugs and alcohol that is both effective and longlasting.
Each client will benefit from an assigned counsellor and keyworker throughout their stay, as well as complementary therapies such as auricular acupuncture.
NA meetings are held all across the UK and provide a network of support or a form of self-help for drug addicts. NA meetings are based upon the foundations of the AA movement; they are spiritual, not religious, there is no requirement to talk at a meeting and anonymity is protected rigorously. Drop out rates are high, but for those that remain abstinence rates are excellent.
