What is a residential rehab centre?

A residential rehab centre is somewhere that a person with a substance addiction can go to receive treatment. For substance addictions, such as alcohol and drugs, medicated detox is often required. A residential rehab clinic is generally considered the best place to have a detox. This is because there are medical and professional staff available around the clock to supervise safe detox, ensure the individual is as comfortable as possible and provide appropriate support during what can be an uncomfortable and unsafe experience without the right treatment and care. When should someone seek a residential rehab centre?

You should find out about residential rehab clinics when you suspect you or your loved one is addicted to a drug. You should also give a residential rehab clinic serious consideration when previous community treatment methods have been unsuccessful.

There are a number of ways for you to decide whether your loved one has a drug addiction. There may be noticeable behavioural or mood changes, such as agitation, secrecy and deception. Types of residential rehab clinic

There are residential rehab clinics throughout the UK.  It is important that you recognize what to look out for when searching for the most suitable private residential rehabilitation centre. It is a legal requirement that all rehab residential rehabilitation centres are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This allows individuals to see whether residential rehabilitation centres meet the standards set out by the CQC.
